Privacy

I am not apathetic towards the issue of privacy.  In fact, the topic of secrecy is very important for me, as some of my friends will be able to attest to.  But there are many people out there who are much more concerned about the presence on the Internet then I am.  Therefore, unless I have gained explicit permission from the subject to use his or her name in a post, I shall be using pseudonyms or something similarly ambiguous.  I undertake to also only publish pictures of people when the subject(s) have given explicit permission to me to do so, barring a few exceptions where I shall consider the combination of anonymity and artistic license is in no way damaging to the subject.

Moderation

Some people advocate total and reserved freedom of speech.  This notion is fundamentally flawed, as far as I am concerned.  Other people understand this, but still believe that anyone in the public domain should take the punches thrown at him or her.  For some situations this is a valid argument.  But on this website I reserve the right to moderate any comment which I deem unnecessarily crude or offensive.  Especially blasphemous content will be summarily removed.
